Bengaluru, 11 May 2025: In a spectacular display of cultural pride and synchronized artistry, Nruthyalila Natyagrugam Trust, Bengaluru, has etched its name into the Karnataka Book of Records by organizing a record-breaking Mass Bharatanatyam Dance Performance on the occasion of Mother’s Day, celebrated on May 11, 2025.
A total of 300 Bharatanatyam dancers came together to perform in perfect harmony, offering a powerful and emotional tribute to Women and Motherhood. Held in the heart of Bengaluru, the event showcased the essence of devotion, discipline, and the rich tapestry of Indian classical heritage.
This historic performance is now officially recognized as a record for its scale, synchronization, and cultural significance. The dancers, spanning various age groups and backgrounds, demonstrated months of rigorous training and deep commitment to the classical art form.
Speaking on the occasion, the organization Founder President Dr. Lilavathy Surya and Secretary Mr Surya N from Nruthyalila Natyagrugam Trust said, "This event was our humble offering to the divine spirit of motherhood and to the timeless beauty of Bharatanatyam.
We are honored to have our efforts recognized by the Karnataka Book of Records."

The event was honoured by Mr Mir Sameem Raza Chairman Karnataka Book of Records as an adjudicator.
Bharatanatyam artists from around the globe like Bengaluru, Hassan, Belgaum, Keralapura, Hyderabad, Vishakapatnam, Chidambaram, Kumbakonam, Chennai and also online participation from Singapore, Malaysia, Australia were present.
