Actor Kamal Haasan and filmmaker S Shankar have announced that "Indian 2" will be released in two parts: "Indian 2" and "Indian 3". The first part, "Indian 2", is scheduled to premiere on July 12, with "Indian 3" following in 2025.
During the trailer launch in Mumbai, Kamal Haasan disclosed that both films were shot concurrently. He elaborated, stating, "That was the director's decision. Speaking for myself, when we were working on Vishwaroop, the script was 350 pages long. I decided to edit it and transform it into a great film. From day one of Vishwaroop's shoot, I began filming for Vishwaroop part 2. I made the call and informed my crew that we were making two films. I let them know that we were embarking on a journey to create two movies and that they would be compensated accordingly. I shot sporadically, switching back and forth between the two films. That's the sort of decision Shankar also made.
