Hunter Biden\'s request to pause his federal gun trial has been denied.

Hunter Biden's plea to postpone his upcoming trial on gun charges in Delaware has been dismissed by a federal appeals court. The request for a delay was made by Abbe Lowell, Hunter Biden's attorney, on Monday. Lowell argued that an immediate trial was unnecessary, citing ongoing proceedings in the district court leading up to the June 3 trial in Wilmington.

The three-judge panel of the 3rd U.S. Court of Appeals, consisting of Patty Shwartz, Cindy K. Chung, and D. Brooks Smith, rejected Biden’s request. It's worth noting that Shwartz was nominated by President Barack Obama, Chung by President Joe Biden, and Smith by President George W. Bush. This same panel had previously denied Biden’s attempt earlier this month to challenge the trial judge’s dismissal of various motions related to the case.

Abbe Lowell did not immediately respond to inquiries made on Tuesday evening, and there was no comment from Special Counsel David Weiss’ office on the matter.
